Does laser hair removal work: Experience of my treatment

This is about my first experience with laser hair removal. That is ... well ... easy to remember. I'm not doing my homework. I went to a cheap place that was on the way to work. This is a small clinic. They call it laser electrolysis. Money is a quite tight for me, hence finding a bargain is a must. This clinic is almost half the price of some of the others I looked at. Unfortunately, the experience was dreadful. As a result, I am sorry to have made such a blunder in deciding to go for cheap against quality. People there promised that it would not cause any pain or discomfort and it is permanent hair removal. Looking back, I understand how important it is to consult a qualified dermatologist first and foremost. Just within weeks, the hair grows back.

At this time the hair grows back, the thought of going through all that again is almost gone. Then I talked to a friend and she told me how she had found a good dermatologist. She has some skin problems and hair bothering her for a while. About the hair, her dermatologist mentioned laser hair removal options, which come in two basic types. One which involved the actual use of medical lasers. The other type involved in something called a xenon flash lamp. While this is not a laser, basically it is doing the same thing.

When she was telling me all this, I raised my own horror story - it made me feel really naive. She said that, there is no such thing as permanent hair removal or pain free treatment. Her own experience was pretty good. She was at her last session of the treatment last week and  she experienced almost no pain at all. In addition, with fair skin and black hair, made her an ideal candidate, among others.

So it did not took me long after hearing it, to find my own dermatologist for a consultation. It took a while, but it is worth the effort. It was explained to me that because of the relatively more the color of skin, I need to be extra careful. He also gave a summary of more information about laser hair removal.

So the following month, I went again for my treatment. Hurt a bit, but it's not like the first time. Plus, the staff there is really nice and happy to answer some questions I have.

Three months later, I finally got rid of the hair.
